How to propose the idea of outside the bedroom?

you shouldn't ask at all. you work at the same lab right? maybe suggest a walk over to a broom closet or an empty office somewhere and get him in the mood :) if he's a good husband he'll know what to do, and the excitememnt of doing in a place you might get caught with make it that much hotter.
