Does this make you feel deep gut level fear?

It seems that the stir that Palin has caused is leading the election down a very scary path. No discussion of the real issues that affect the American people. A lot of American Idol sensationalism. Does this concern you...that our election system has become an American Idol episode? Does it concern you that instead of discussing issues, like the economy, the McCain surrogates have said that a smear campaign is the only thing that may keep the GOP from losing? What does this really say about America?
