Unplanned pregnancy?

I am about 6 weeks pregnant and it was unplanned. I have told the father about the pregnancy and he was adament that I have an abortion, however I have very strong opposition to abortions for personal and religious reasons, so now I've decided to raise this child on my own. I am wondering if I should contact the father again to see how he'd like to be involved or is it already a lost cause???
